CTFA is concerned solely with:
Only one grant proposal per year may be submitted to the Foundation by an applicant. Priority consideration will be given to applicants not funded by a CTFA grant during the previous grant year. Most grant projects are for one year, however exceptional projects extending up to two years may be considered when included in the original grant submission. Applications for general operating support or for activities undertaken for academic credit will not be considered. Each grant application must be accompanied by a completed CTFA GRANT APPLICATION SUMMARY SHEET and the requested documentation to support the information listed. OPTIONS for GRANT SUBMISSIONS FOR CTFA Founders Grants, Aurand Harris Grants and Aurand Harris Fellowships. PRINTED SUBMISSION BY MAIL or CARRIER: Grant Applicants may submit 5 copies of the grant cover sheet and all support materials by mail or alternate carrier postmarked by the April 1st deadline and delivered no later than April 7, to CTFA GRANTS COMMITEE, c/o M Miller, 617 Baxter Ave, Louisville, KY 40204-1105. Email address must be included. Notification of receipt of application by CTFA Grants Committee will be to your email address. ELECTRONIC (email) SUBMISSION: Grant Applicants my submit one transmission of the Grant Cover Sheet and primary information support materials electronically in MSWord/Excel Files, RTF Files, or Adobe Acrobat pdf files to info@childrenstheatrefoundation.org by the April 1 deadline. For electronic submission you must include this information in the email subject line: CTFA Grant application from- _________ (insert name of submitter). (5 copies of support materials such as brochures, playbills, etc. may be submitted by mail separately---properly identified.) Applications are accepted only from theatres and theatre artists within in the United States of America.

Recipients of any CTFA grant must include the CTFA logo in all official programs or publications and the statement: “Funded in part by a grant from the Children's Theater Foundation of America.” Theatres that commission and then retain the work created in part by the grant must make that work publicly available for use by other theatres within three years. Recipients of the Aurand Harris Children’s Theatre grants; the Alvin Cohen Fund grants; and the Reba Robertson Award have additional requirements for inclusion of biographical material in any official program or publication used in association with the project.
